Our Story
Rooted in Uganda, Designed for Africa
Fidelitas Scientific Execution Facility is an independent and not-for-profit organization based in Uganda, with a reach that extends across East Africa and beyond. We are non-denominational, ensuring that our work serve all communities without bias or prejudice.
Founded on the principle that sustainable development comes from within communities themselves, we are building a reputation for excellence in community capacity strengthening, community-led implementation, Impact oriented Technical Assistance, participatory learning and evaluation, program execution and implementation. Our team brings together diverse expertise in health, education, climate change, food security, and social technology.
What sets us apart is our commitment to institutionalizing indigenous knowledge as the foundation for evidence-based development. We believe that communities hold valuable wisdom that, when combined with scientific research and modern methodologies, creates powerful solutions to complex challenges.
Our Impact
Making a Difference Beyond Numbers
Fidelitas Scientific Execution Facility developed a groundbreaking conceptual framework during the pilot implementation that fundamentally changes how behavioral interventions are designed and resourced. The "Causal Factor – Depth Continuum" maps behavioral causes across three levels: knowledge gaps (surface level), beliefs and attitudes (moderate depth), and norms and values (deep level). This diagnostic tool enables practitioners to determine whether change requires simple awareness training or comprehensive, long-term cultural transformation strategies. A change agent working with harsh punishment practices, for example, must first assess whether the caregiver lacks knowledge about alternatives, holds negative beliefs about children, or is influenced by deeply embedded cultural norms—with each level demanding progressively more intensive intervention. The framework directly addresses root causes rather than symptoms, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and realistic timeline planning. This systematic approach transforms intervention design from guesswork to evidence-based strategy, fundamentally improving program effectiveness and sustainability. Diversity & Inclusion
Celebrating Differences, Building Strength
At Fidelitas, we are committed to diversity, Equity, and inclusion. We recognize that diversity is not merely about having different people in the room, but it is about ensuring that everyone has power, voice, influence and agency in decision-making processes. In the spirit of co-designing and co-producing outcomes, we welcome and value differences in gender, ethnicity, country of origin, discipline, and experience level, and work intentionally to create equitable spaces where all perspectives shape our work and direction. Diverse perspectives make us stronger, more innovative, and better equipped to serve the communities we work with. Our commitment to inclusion extends to our hiring practices, partnership development, program design, and organizational culture.
